AN INTERNET RESOURCE TO SUPPORT COLLINGWOOD SCHOLARSHIP
A internet-based email network has been set up to support
research into the life and work of the philosopher,
archaeologist and historian R.G. Collingwood (1889-1943).
The network is supported by the Collingwood and
British Idealism Society, publishers of the journal
_Collingwood Studies_.
It is anticipated that the network might be used in a
number of ways, including:
-- Acting as a forum for scholarly debate and discussion,
and for exchanging information about a topic or issue
concerning Collingwood's life and work, that of his peers,
influences and contemporaries, and about the reception and
interpretation of his ideas
-- Acting as a forum for research students and other
scholars to raise questions about any similar topic or issue
-- Circulating relevant conference, workshop, or seminar
information, or information as to forthcoming books,
articles, reports or other publications
-- Circulating calls for papers for conferences, seminars or
edited books
-- Circulating bibliographies and other scholarly documents
to subscribers
-- Acting as a forum for book and journal reviews
Subscription to the network is free.
The network's web page is at:
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/collingwood/
Messages to the network are archived and are
available in a fully searchable form at this site.
