Description

This postdoctorate position is open in the research laboratory of the ENSP(LAREP), in the research program entitled “Knowledge and practices of the project of landscape architecture”.
 
Research will be focused on the study of the relationship between the project of landscape architecture and visual culture. It will explore and analyse visual strategies that support forms of the project of landscape architecture, related to the emergence of new areas of intervention (for example the large-scale of urban agglomeration or urban fringe) or the reevaluation of relations between participants ( for example the new role attributed to mediation). This research will establish a typology of new kinds of project and visualization of landscape architecture. The analysis will examine the relationship between knowledge and form of visualization in landscape architecture. The candidate will be required to participate in applications for research funding. At the end of the research period the candidate will be expected to submit  two research papers for publication.

Skills

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in landscape architecture, in landscape studies or related disciplines such as geography or other. He must be interested in landscape architecture as well as in visual culture and he must have published  at least in one of these two areas. He will speak and write in French and English.
