La Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme et l’Institut français de Roumanie (IFR) proposent  une aide à la mobilité de 2 mois pour un séjour en France aux jeunes chercheurs postdoctorants de Roumanie ayant soutenu leur thèse à partir de 2012. Cette aide à la mobilité est destinée à réaliser des travaux de recherche en France : enquêtes de terrain, travail en bibliothèques et archives. Présentation

La Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme et l’Institut français de Roumanie (IFR) proposent  une aide à la mobilité de 2 mois pour un séjour en France aux jeunes chercheurs postdoctorants de Roumanie ayant soutenu leur thèse à partir de 2012.

Cette aide à la mobilité est destinée à réaliser des travaux de recherche en France : enquêtes de terrain, travail en bibliothèques et archives.

Cet appel s’inscrit dans le cadre du Programme Atlas de mobilité postdoctorale de courte durée lancé par la FMSH et ses partenaires.

Modalités financières 

Une aide financière totale de 3 400 euros pour deux mois (versée en deux mensualités de 1 700 euros au début de chaque mois) est attribuée aux lauréats. Elle est destinée à couvrir les frais de transport et de séjour.

Les lauréats bénéficieront du statut de « Boursier du Gouvernement Français » qui leur permettra d’avoir accès à des logements à prix encadré, de bénéficier d’une couverture sociale le temps de leur séjour en France, et d’obtenir une aide à l’achat de matériel bibliographique.

Enfin, les lauréats bénéficieront de la gratuité du visa ainsi que d’une aide logistique pour organiser leur séjour (possibilité de mise à disposition d’un espace de travail, lettres pour les bibliothèques...).

Critères d’éligibilité

• Nationalité : Les candidats doivent être ressortissants de Roumanie et être rattaché à un établissement d’enseignement supérieur de recherche / institut de recherche privé ou public de Roumanie.
• Diplôme : Les candidats doivent être titulaires d’un doctorat. La thèse doit avoir été soutenue à partir de 2012.
• Discipline : Les candidats doivent être engagés dans des recherches en sciences humaines et sociales.
• Institution d’accueil : Les candidats doivent trouver une institution de recherche française qui assurera leur accueil scientifique pendant leur séjour en France. Lors de la candidature, les candidats devront fournir une lettre d’invitation signée par l’institution d’accueil et adressée à la FMSH et à l’IFR, dans laquelle l’institution d’accueil motive les raisons de l’invitation ainsi que les conditions de travail mises à disposition.

Obligations du chercheur 

Le chercheur devra remettre à la FMSH et à l’IFR, à l’issue de son séjour, un rapport entre 10 000 et 20 000 signes maximum (espaces et notes compris) présentant les activités réalisées pendant son séjour et leur apport pour son projet de recherche.

Dossier de candidature 

Les candidats doivent soumettre un formulaire et un dossier scientifique (projet de recherche + annexes) sur une plateforme en ligne. La plateforme en ligne sera accessible à partir du 29 septembre 2017.

Les candidatures complètes devront être téléchargées sur la plateforme en ligne au plus tard le 15 décembre 2017, 17:00 (heure de Paris).

Le formulaire et le dossier scientifique peuvent être soumis en français ou en anglais.

Contenu du dossier scientifique 

Le projet de recherche : Le projet de recherche consiste en un exposé entre 10 000 et 20 000 signes (espaces et notes compris) composé obligatoirement de :

• la problématique et les objectifs du projet de recherche 
• une bibliographie
• le détail du programme de séjour (lieux et institutions à visiter, contacts)

Les annexes :

• Un CV de maximum 2 pages
• Une liste des publications
• La copie du diplôme de la thèse
• Une lettre du directeur de l’institution de rattachement dans le pays d’origine
• Une lettre d’invitation du directeur de l’institution d’accueil en France motivant les raisons de l’invitation et les conditions de travail mises à disposition

Comment postuler  ?

1. Rendez-vous sur la plateforme http://calls.msh-paris.fr et entrez dans l’espace « Researcher Workspace ».

2. Identifiez-vous si vous avez déjà créé un compte, le cas échéant, créez un compte.

3. Remplissez votre profil puis cliquez sur « create a new application ».

4. Sélectionnez « Programme Atlas incoming 2018 » puis l’appel spécifique « FMSH-IFR : Roumanie > France ».

5. Remplissez tous les onglets du formulaire.

6. Dans l’onglet « Documents » téléchargez sous forme d’un document électronique unique au format pdf votre dossier de candidature qui sera composé des pièces suivantes :

• Un projet de recherche
• Un CV de maximum 2 pages
• Une liste des publications
• La copie du diplôme de la thèse
• Une lettre du directeur de l’institution de rattachement dans le pays d’origine
• Une lettre d’invitation du directeur de l’institution de recherche d’accueil en France

7. Vous pouvez sauvegarder votre candidature sans la soumettre pour y revenir plus tard, ou la soumettre définitivement. Lorsque vous aurez soumis votre candidature, vous recevrez un email automatique de confirmation. Attention, si votre candidature n’est pas soumise elle ne sera pas étudiée. Les dossiers de candidature incomplets ou ne correspondant pas à la description ci-dessus ne seront pas pris en compte.

Critères et processus de sélection

Un comité de sélection composé de membres de la FMSH, de l’IFR, du CEREFREA-Villa Noël et d’experts externes analysera et sélectionnera les candidatures au regard des éléments suivants :

• La qualité du dossier scientifique et la méthodologie développée
• La pertinence de venir en France au regard du projet développé et du parcours du chercheur
• La capacité à identifier des contacts scientifiques sur place

Les chercheurs n’ayant jamais bénéficié du dispositif seront privilégiés.

Les résultats seront communiqués par mail aux candidats début février 2018.

The Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH) and the Institut français de Roumanie (IFR) offer short-term fellowships of two months in France for young postdoc researchers from Romania who have presented their thesis from 2012.

This call is part of the Atlas short-term postdoctoral mobility programme offered by the FMSH and its partners.

Financial details

Laureates will receive a total stipend of 3 400 € for the two months (2 instalments of 1 700 € paid at the beginning of each month of stay). This financial contribution is intended to cover expenditure such as transport and accommodation costs.

Laureates will be considered as “Boursier du Gouvernement Français” and will have access to affordable accommodation, social security for the time of their stay and get a financial support to buy bibliographic material.

Laureates will also benefit from free visa and logistical support to organise their stay (possibility to have a workspace, letter for the libraries...).

Eligibility criteria

Nationality/Residence: This program is open to Romania nationals who are affiliated with an institution of higher education and research / institute of research based in the country. 

Educational Degree : Applicants must have obtained their PhD doctorate and presented their thesis from 2012.

Theme : Applicants   must   be   involved   in   research   in   social   and   human   sciences .

French host institution: Before submitting their application, applicants will have to find a French research institution to host them for the time of their stay. Applicants will have to provide a letter from the hosting institution addressed to the FMSH and the IFR expressing the institution’s willingness to host the applicant during the time of fellowship and explaining the work conditions offered.

Researcher’s obligations

At the end of their stay, laureates will have to provide the FMSH and the IFR with a report from 10 000 and 20 000 characters (spaces and notes included) presenting the work done during their stay and the benefits for their research project.

Application procedure

Applicants will be required to submit an online application form and a scientific dossier (research project + appendices). The online application form will be available on the FMSH website as of 29 September 2017. 

Completed proposals can be uploaded to the application portal at any time before the application deadline of 15 December 2017, 17:00 (Paris time).

Online application and scientific dossier can be submitted in French or English.

Content of scientific dossier

The research proposal: the research proposal should consist in a short presentation from 10 000 characters to 20 000 characters (spaces and references included) composed with:

1. State of art, problematic, objective and specific aim of the research project, methodology.
2. A bibliography
3. The detailed programme of the research stay (places and institutions to be visited, contacts, workplan).

Appendices :

• A Curriculum vitae (2 pages maximum)
• A list of publications
• A copy of the PhD diploma
• A letter from the director of the research institution in Romania
• A letter of invitation from the director of the host research institution in France expressing the institution’s willingness to host the applicant during the time of fellowship and explaining the work conditions they can offer

How to apply?

1. Reach the online application form and enter «Researcher Workspace».
2. You have to be registered on the online platform in order to use it. If you haven’t created an account yet, you will be asked to.
3. Create your profile by filling all your personal information and then enter “create a new application”.

5. Fill all the information tabs.
6. In the “Documents” final tab, you will need to upload your research proposal and the appendices into one single PDF document :

7.  You can save your application and complete it later several times if you wish, until the closure of the call for applications. Evaluation process and criteria

A selection committee composed with members of FMSH, IFR, CEREFREA-Villa Noël and independent experts will analyse and proceed to final selection of applications regarding the following criteria:

• The quality of the scientific dossier and the methodology developed
• The relevance of a research stay in France regarding the scientific project and the candidate curricula
• The ability to identify scientific contacts in France

Candidates that have never benefited from the programme will be prioritized.

Candidates will be informed by email of the results in early February 2018.
