  Christianity, language contact, language change

  The present workshop addresses questions of language contact and language change, as well as language standardization in the Christian context both in Europe and in the New World (Americas, Africa) through a study of diachronic and synchronic corpora. Special attention is paid, on the one hand, to the role of translation as a sight of language contact, and on the other hand, to register variation as an indicator of differential propagation of innovations appeared in Christian context.

  Défis et perspectives

  Exégètes, théologien·nes et étudiant·es sont invité·es à une journée d’étude sur l’interprétation de la Bible en contextes africains et afro-descendants. S’inspirant de l’ouvrage collectif, Other Ways of Reading: African Women and the Bible, dirigé par Mussa Dube, les théologiennes africaines explorent des concepts qui relèvent des contextes africains et afrodescendants pour se saisir du texte biblique autrement que selon les approches classiques canoniques et occidentales.
