Cet appel est destiné aux doctorants francophones en sciences humaines et sociales des universités de l’Alliance 4EU+ et d’autres établissements. Les organisateurs de ce séminaire-wébinaire se posent pour objectif de mener une réflexion méthodologique, épistémologique et conceptuelle sur le numérique et d’effectuer des études de cas dans différents domaines de recherche appartenant à l’univers des sciences humaines et sociales, en se concentrant autour d’un thème fédérateur – le peuple. Les organisateurs invitent les propositions de réflexion concernant le peuple dans tous les sens du terme : en tant que construction politique, sociale, nationale, géographique, linguistique ou ethnique.

Shapes of Futures

For the nineteenth-century man, the future was “a simple combination of already known things” that could be calculated on the basis of given probabilities. For the twentieth-century man, the concept of the future was entirely different. But, perhaps, disorder is not the last word that humanity has to say about its understanding of the future. Liquid modernity has melted into postmodernity and, after almost two decades of the twenty-first century have passed, one may ask about the contemporary visions and conceptions of the future. Is the future, as Hawkins asserts categorically just “a spectrum of possibilities”? Or, maybe, in Derrida’s words, “the ineluctable world of the future […] proclaims itself at present, beyond the closure of knowledge.”

Digital Humanities research always takes place within a specific institutional context, which is constituted by both science system and its societal environment. DH centres, which are being launched all over the world, have therefore to face a number of challenges in order to function effectively and fulfill the potential of DH. Avec l’apport des technologies numériques, le travail en réseaux est aujourd’hui devenu une pratique inévitable de la recherche scientifique. Par définition, le réseau de médiévistes Ménestrel (Médiévistes sur le net : sources, travaux et références en ligne), pratique depuis sa création en 1995 la mise en relation des médiévistes de diverses communautés animés par la préoccupation de fournir, en ligne, un guide critique des ressources disponibles pour la médiévistique en France et dans les pays partenaires du réseau. Cette journée d'études est consacrée aux ressources Internet en matière de manuscrits et de bibliothèques en Pologne et en France, organisée à l'occasion de l'Assemblée générale du réseau de médiévistes « Ménestrel ».

Der Diskussion aktuell umstrittener Fragen der polnischen Geschichte in ihrem europäischen Kontext dienen die Joachim-Lelewel-Gespräche des Deutschen Historischen Instituts. Sie führen jeweils Vertreter aus der polnischen, ost- und westeuropäischen bzw. internationalen Geschichtswissenschaft zu einer kontroversen Debatte zusammen, an der sich auch das Publikum aktiv beteiligt. / Les débats Joachim-Lelewel, organisés par l’Institut historique allemand de Varsovie, s’intéressent aux questions actuelles et controversées de l’histoire polonaise dans leur contexte européen. Ils rassemblent, autour d’une table-ronde sur des sujets controversés à laquelle le public est invité à participer, à la fois des historiens spécialisés en histoire de la Pologne, de l’Europe de l’est et de l’ouest.

L’Université du Luxembourg (Master en Histoire européenne contemporaine) et le Centre Virtuel de la Connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) organisent un Symposium en octobre 2009 sur le thème « L’histoire contemporaine à l’ère digitale ».Les réflexions sur l’usage de l’ordinateur et d’Internet dans les pratiques, méthodes et productions des historiens se font progressivement plus nombreuses. Toutefois, l’histoire contemporaine est restée relativement à l’écart des usages scientifiques numériques – au-delà de l’utilisation du traitement de texte et du courrier électronique – et des réflexions méthodologiques qui y sont liées.
