  Centième numéro de la revue « Flux, cahiers scientifiques internationaux Réseaux et territoires »

  Les réseaux (de télécommunications et numériques, de transports, de fourniture d’eau ou d’énergie, d’assainissement ou de gestion des déchets...) participent fondamentalement de l’expérience et de la condition contemporaines. Vitesse et rapport au temps, relations de proximité et à distance, hygiène et confort, rapports à la dimension verticale de l’espace du souterrain au surplomb... ont été profondément affectés par la réticulation croissante des territoires, des organisations et des sociétés.

  Musique et attachement : lieux, territoires et scènes musicales

  Depuis une décennie les travaux de géographes francophones sur la musique, mobilisant les avancées des recherches anglophones et des terrains européens et internationaux, ont démontré la pertinence de la « géomusique » à la fois comme champ à part entière de la géographie et comme épistémologie féconde dans le tournant culture de la géographie. Les UMR Passages (Bordeaux) et Pacte (Grenoble) proposent un appel à communication pour une journée scientifique qui aura lieu à Bordeaux le 16 septembre 2016 sous le titre suivant : « Musique et attachement. Lieux, scènes et territoires musicaux ». Cette proposition s'inscrit dans un travail autour de l'espace mobile, imaginant une approche dialectique de l'attachement.

  Representations of Rurality in Crime Fiction and Media Culture

  Interdisciplinary Approaches to "Setting the Scene"

  The Institute for Collaborative Research in the Humanities at Queen’s University organises a two day Symposium in June 2015  (15 & 16th) as part of its theme of "Creativity in Imagined and Material Worlds". Devoted to representations of the rural,  it will bring together studies in crime fiction and media culture looking at a variety of outlets such as fiction, film, television, comics, games and many others and inspect their various engagements  with the concept of "rurality". Interdisciplinary papers are welcomed, but not contained to, Anthropology, Modern Languages, English, Film and Media Studies, History, Cultural Studies, Historical/Cultural/Rural Geography, Sociology, Spatial Planning. By bringing together an interdisciplinary group we will address how cultural constructions of the rural often ‘set the scene’ for crime fiction.

  Foodways and Heritage

  International Conference organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Department of Anthropology). In collaboration with the UNESCO Chair "Safeguarding and Promotion of Cultural Food Heritages" (University François-Rabelais of Tours, France).This conference aims to :1. look at the politics of foodways and heritage, 2. investigate how different kinds of food are produced, sustained and inherited, 3. investigate how they are preserved as intangible heritage for various reasons.
