Colloque d’histoire des relations internationales, « La fabrique des relations internationales depuis les Amériques latines » est avant tout un espace de discussion et d’échange. Visant à favoriser, autant que possible, des approches latinoaméricaines, en dialogue avec les relations internationales au niveau mondial, nous souhaitons réunir des intervenant·es spécialistes de l’Amérique latine ainsi que des chercheur·euses français·es davantage spécialistes thématiques que géographiques.

Provence at the Crossroads of Artistic Trajectories during the 17th century
Production, Markets, Circulation
Through its geographic location, Provence, taken here to be the region between Nice, Montpellier and the Comtat Venaissin, is an ideal location to reflect on the plurality of artistic movements. Open to the Mediterranean and boasting active maritime trade, it was also the last stop in France on the way to Italy, at a time when a visit to Rome was an essential part of any artist's training. The conference, which will be international and multidisciplinary, intends to examine the circulation of artists and works in Provence during the 17th century.

Le Bulletin de l’APERA (association pour l’expérimentation et la recherche archéologique) lance un appel à contribution pour son deuxième numéro. Le Bulletin de l’APERA publie des articles originaux, en français ou en anglais, traitant d’expérimentation en archéologie, qu’il s’agisse de projets ou résultats de travaux, de protocoles, de synthèses, ou de retours sur expériences. Les contributions d’étudiants, chercheurs ou amateurs sont les bienvenues. La revue s’intéresse à tous les champs chronologiques et géographiques.

Wood supply, agro-sylvo-pastoral activities and forest
The objective of this workshop is to engage an open discussion among palaeobotanists (palynologists, dendrochronologists and anthracologists in particular) and historians (studying iconography, written and archaeological sources) to lead to methodological reflection. Our aim is also to question the sources available to study the forest cover and its management, but also to discuss the interpretation of these sources. It is also a matter of highlighting the limits and biases of each method as well as the potential of comparing sources.

There is a growing awareness among researchers that access to archival records does not seem to be a given. Using examples from Germany and France, supplemented by other European experiences, we want to explore the state of affairs and analyse the normative, administrative and practical restrictions on access to archives.

Women in the production and diffusion of historical knowledge in French Canada, 19th and 20th centuries
Ce projet de journée d’étude veut mettre en lumière les diverses formes de participation et de contribution des femmes du Canada français au dynamisme d’un champ historique en constante métamorphose. Par là, il entend aussi offrir de nouvelles pistes d’analyse pour déjouer la construction genrée du champ de la pratique historienne et mieux comprendre l’effacement mémoriel de certaines de ses ouvrières. Aux côtés de figures mieux établies, qui retiendront aussi l’attention, se trouvent plusieurs praticiennes n’ayant pas investi à hauteur suffisante les formes canoniques d’expression disciplinaire - la monographie d’histoire, l’article scientifique ou la synthèse historique - mais dont la contribution mérite d’être mieux reconnue et étudiée.

Louis XIV's medals and their book
Since 1694, the "Petite Académie" devoted themselves to royal numismatics. They offered to the king in 1702 the luxurious volume of the Médailles sur les principaux événements du règne de Louis le Grand (2nd completed edition in 1723). The medals will be studied in all their various aspects. The book plays its part in royal propaganda, using its images. It ranks among the albums of the monarchy and among the books of numismatics. The writing of history shows there its own characteristics. The medals as well as the book will exert an influence. History, literary history, art history, book history are invited to study this monument of the "Grand Siècle" which has not drawn all the attention that it deserves.

Comment le religieux oriente-t-il certaines hypothèses scientifiques ? Comment la recherche rencontre-t-elle le fait religieux, l’écarte-t-elle, s’en tient-elle à distance, ou en fait-elle le cœur même de son interrogation ? Ces questionnements sont-ils plutôt liés à la logique interne de la discipline ou à la spécificité de l'objet « religieux »? La dimension anthropologique du religieux donne-t-elle l'illusion que l'objet est un donné dont il importerait peu d'interroger la façon dont on le construit ? Autant de questions que nous comptons reprendre en 2014.

The debate will be published in the next issue of the Institute’s journal – Rechtsgeschicht –, set for release at the end of this year. -

Dans sa dixième livraison, Diacronie souhaite aborder la question à travers un aperçu des techniques utilisées dans l’histoire numérique. Nous souhaitons également promouvoir une réflexion autour de cette approche méthodologique à travers des contributions consacrées à diverses pratiques de diffusion numérisation traitement et élaboration informatique des sources. -

La journée d'étude, organisée en collaboration entre l'Institut national de l'audiovisuel (Ina) et l'université Paris Diderot (Paris 7), s'interroge sur ce que peuvent apporter les sciences humaines aux questions de préservation et de transmission - accès, valorisation - du patrimoine et donc de la mémoire. Ces nouveaux enjeux culturels nécessitent une collaboration interdisciplinaire entre les sciences humaines d'une part, mais également entre les sciences humaines et les sciences de l'ingénieur d'autre part. -

La Casa de Velázquez et l’École française de Rome organisent du 24 au 28 juin 2008 une session internationale d’études doctorales qui s’adresse à des doctorants, voire à des post-doctorants ayant récemment soutenu leur thèse, travaillant sur les questions coloniales. Ces journées s’intéresseront aux savoirs produits par les pays colonisateurs pour appréhender et transformer les sociétés et les territoires soumis à leur domination. En évaluant le poids des héritages des expériences coloniales de l’époque moderne, elles porteront l’attention sur la constitution de disciplines scientifiques spécifiques et sur le rôle qu’elles ont tenu dans l’élaboration de l’idéologie coloniale.
