Les journées d’étude en anthropologie filmique organisées au sein de l’université Côte d’Azur arrivent cette année à la quatrième édition. Elles auront pour sujet d’étude « La caméra et le film comme agents ». Elles présenteront une rencontre dédiée aux films en ethnomusicologie lauréats des bourses « Diego Carpitella » et plusieurs communications qui seront enrichies d’extraits des films concernés. Un temps sera prévu pour les questions et le débat.

Présentation

Le matin du premier décembre sera en liaison avec Venise (Università Ca’ Foscari et Fondazione Giorgio Cini) pour « Sguardi musicali rassegna di film etnomusicologici », rencontre dédiée aux films en ethnomusicologie lauréats des bourses « Diego Carpitella ». L’après-midi sera consacré aux comunications de Silvia Paggi et de Valentina Bonifacio, Professeur d’anthropologie auprès de l’Université Ca’ Foscari de Venise.

La matinée du 2 décembre est dédiée aux communication de Carlos Rafael Fonseca da Silva, doctorant en anthropologie filmique - Université Côte d’Azur, et de Jordie Blanc Ansari, doctorante en anthropologie - Université Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3.

Les communications des intervenants sont enrichies d’extraits des films concernés et un temps est prévu pour les questions et le débat.

• “Pan blanco : indigenas despues de Colon” (2005)

In the manner of a mirror, this film provides a reflection of how both local and national Paraguayan identity has emerged through contact with indigenous people. The principal reflecting gaze in the film is that of a “cultural technician”, Don Ramon as he travels through a remote area of the country. As in the history of all contacts, political power and strategies of conquest and control attend the intercultural exchange.

• “Casado’s Legacy” (2009)

For 100 years Maskoy people worked in Carlos Casado’s tannin factory. The factory, which had been founded on their land, based its production on the exploitation of local natural resources. After exploiting the territory, the company closed the factory and sold the land. For Maskoy people who fought against the company to repossess their former territory, Casado’s legacy is a land without food. On this land, they have to rebuild their life, and in doing so, have to come to terms with their past and their dreams.

• “So’o. Life and death of a cow in Puerto Casado” (2017)

This short documentary explores the entanglements between humans and cattle in Puerto Casado.

• “Destiempo: dynamogram of Puerto Casado, Paraguay” (2017).

“Destiempo” is the result of a collaboration with six Paraguayan artists in the making of an exhibition on the one hundred years of history of a tannin factory in Puerto Casado.

Pre-editing of images of maps and cadastral plans and shots of the environment of the écohameau. Pre-editing of interviews with the protagonists who will introduce themselves and talk about the most important points of their « reformist » life project.

Pre-editing of interviews on the stages of spirulina production in the écohameau. Design, creation of ponds, harvesting and drying of algae.

• Jordie Blanc Ansari - Doctorante en anthropologie - Université Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3 (CREDA) : Questionner le « Vivir Bien » par l’image : ateliers audiovisuels avec des jeunes boliviens pour une ethnographie filmique partagée.

• “Orden y desorden en mi ciudad” (2019)

Un récit à la première personne réalisé par Quya, participante d’un atelier. En slalomant les ruelles d’un quartier d’El Alto, elle compare la ville d’aujourd’hui et la ville de ses ancêtres, habitant cet espace autrefois. Quya mobilise des références issues des croyances andines pour raconter la ville qu’il l’entoure. Elle parle de la Terre qu’elle jalonne comme d’un lien qui la relie aux ancêtres.

• “Préparation du Wiñapu” (2022)

Dans le cadre d’un atelier participatif dans le village Tacana en Amazonie, Carmen et sa sœur souhaitent filmer la préparation du wiñapu (bière de maïs), une boisson locale. Bien au-delà d’une simple préparation culinaire, celle du wiñapu deviendra une piste d’analyse pour appréhender les rapports de genre dans la société Tacana et plus largement les rapports à la nature. Cette boisson de partage inscrite dans une longue chaîne opératoire, esquisse les principes du vivre-ensemble, de l’interdépendance parmi le vivant et plus largement fait échos au concept du Vivir Bien.
