La journée d’étude est organisée autour de la venue de la poétesse Brandy Mālani McDougall. Brandy Mālani McDougall est Kanaka ʻŌiwi (hawaiienne autochtone) et sa poésie, comme son travail universitaire, s’intéressent aux liens entre poésie, humain et paysage hawaiien.

Brandy Nālani McDougall is Hawai'i's state poet for 2023-2025.
She is Kanaka ʻŌiwi, and as an academic she is the author of 'Āina Hānau / Birth Land (University of Arizona Press, 2023).
She will start the day with readings from her poems. From 4pm to 6pm, she will be part of a round table discussing landscape in Native Hawaiʻian literature / Historical, territorial, and political sovereignty in Hawaiʻi

- 14:15-15:45 – reading by the poet laureate, followed by discussion
15:45-16:00 – Coffee break
16:00-18:00 – Round table– “Links to landscape in Native Hawaiʻian literature / Historical, territorial, and political sovereignty in Hawaiʻi”
