Social Empowerment Journal is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal published by the Laboratory of Social Empowerment and Sustainable Development, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Amar Telidji – Laghouat, Algeria. It provides a platform for publishing original research in the humanities, social sciences, and economic studies, with a special focus on interdisciplinary and applied work.

Social Empowerment Journal is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal published by the Laboratory of Social Empowerment and Sustainable Development, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Amar Telidji – Laghouat, Algeria. It provides a platform for publishing original research in the humanities, social sciences, and economic studies, with a special focus on interdisciplinary and applied work.

The Social Empowerment Journal welcomes original, high-quality research in a broad spectrum of disciplines across the humanities, social sciences, and economic studies. Particular attention is given to emerging and interdisciplinary fields that reflect contemporary challenges and transformations in society. Key areas include development studies, sociology, political science and international relations, social psychology, cultural and identity studies, gender and inclusion, digital society, migration and mobility, sustainability and social innovation, organizational behavior and human resource management, public policy, Islamic economics, Sharia law, heritage and archaeology, educational practices, Islamic civilization, philosophy, and the history and philosophy of science.

The journal accepts articles in Arabic and English, follows a double-blind peer review, and applies a Diamond Open Access policy — with no submission or publication fees. All content is freely accessible online under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. Submissions from researchers worldwide are highly welcomed.

Social Empowerment Journal does not charge any fees for submission, review, or publication. It operates under a diamond open access model, ensuring that all stages of the publication process are free of charge for authors.

3. Author Registration:

   • Authors must register with ASJP before submission.

   • If already registered, simply log in to access the submission system.

Article Evaluation Process

1. Initial Format Screening:

   • Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary review to ensure compliance with the journal’s formatting requirements.

   • Articles that meet the formal criteria are forwarded for peer review.

   • Articles that do not comply with the required format are declined, and authors are notified with one final opportunity to resubmit after making the necessary adjustments.

2. Peer Review Process:

   • The journal follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers.

   • Submissions are either sent directly by the Editor-in-Chief to expert reviewers, or assigned to an Associate Editor who manages the review process.

   • Each article is reviewed by two external reviewers from institutions other than the authors’ affiliation. Reviewers are provided with a standardized evaluation form.

   • Reviewers are given a maximum of 20 days to complete their reports. In case of any exceptional delay, the reviewer is required to notify the Editor-in-Chief in advance.

3. Evaluation Criteria: Articles are evaluated based on a set of academic standards, including:

   • Originality and innovation

   • Relevance and timeliness of the topic

   • Scientific significance and contribution to the journal's field

   • Clarity and accuracy of language and academic style

   • Methodological soundness

    

4. Editorial Decision:

   • In case of rejection, the Editor-in-Chief will notify the author via the ASJP platform and provide a letter outlining the reasons for the decision.

   • Authors may revise and resubmit their manuscripts after addressing the reviewers’ feedback, if applicable.

5. Editorial and Scientific Board:

   • The journal's editorial board includes academic experts from diverse regions (Europe, Africa, Asia) and various disciplines.

   • The board ensures rigorous and objective peer review in alignment with international academic publishing standards.
