Abstract

The recently established Network for the Study of Massacres in Latin America invites you to take part in a series of online conferences entitled ‘Studying Massacres and Extreme Violence in Latin America’, which will be held over the coming months. These lectures will bring together specialists from various disciplines and countries, who will discuss the challenges, perspectives and findings of their previous research on massacres.

The first lecture will focus on the use of violence by landowners and businessmen against workers in various production contexts. Three colleagues based in Brazil, Canada and Chile will be speaking:
