Les études sur les amalgames lexicaux (plus connus sous la dénomination de « mot-valise ») se sont renouvelées depuis les années 1990 en investissant de nombreux champs de la linguistique (phonologie, psycholinguistique, linguistique cognitive, linguistique informatique) et en s'ouvrant à des langues typologiquement variées. Ce colloque organisé par le Centre de Recherche en Terminologie et Traduction (CRTT) de l'université Lyon 2 rassemble une trentaine de communicants de tous horizons et se veut d'abord un forum d'échanges et de débats. Les communications programmées font la part belle à l'analyse de l'amalgamation lexicale dans des langues encore peu étudiées (le polonais, le slovaque, l'ukrainien, le serbe, le grec moderne, le farsi, le mandarin, le coréen), aux comparaisons interlangues et aux questions théoriques soulevées par ces objets morphologiques singuliers.
