Présentation

Alter, Société Européenne de Recherche sur le Handicap (ASERH) a été fondée en 2011 lors de la réunion annuelle du Comité de rédaction de la revue Alter-European Journal of Disability Research / Revue Européenne de Recherche sur le Handicap. Elle s’est donné pour objectif de promouvoir la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales sur le handicap, en insistant sur la pluralité des approches scientifiques et des savoirs (théoriques, appliqués, issus de l’expérience du handicap…) qu’offre ce domaine de recherche. L’ASERH est une société savante s’adressant à tous ceux qui s’intéressent au handicap et aux questions qu’il soulève, sans réserve quant aux orientations de recherche. Conçue en étant ciblée sur l’Europe, la société est ouverte à la communauté scientifique internationale.

La conférence de l’ASERH est envisagée comme le rendez-vous annuel permettant aux chercheurs confirmés, jeunes chercheurs et doctorants de présenter leurs travaux. Elle vise à offrir ainsi un panorama de la recherche sur le handicap ainsi qu’un lieu propice aux contacts et aux échanges.

L’ASERH a souhaité que sa première conférence soit très largement ouverte à un ensemble de thématiques, de problématiques et d’approches qui renouvellent aujourd’hui la recherche en sciences sociales sur le handicap (paradigmes de recherche, expériences, identités, acteurs, ressources, mobilisations, politiques…). Une sélection des contributions sera publiée dans un numéro de la revue Alter.
