Abstract
As part of a three-year Leverhulme-funded project on the musical and literary works and manuscripts of Guillaume de Machaut, led by Prof Yolanda Plumley at the University of Exeter, we are holding a conference drawing together all aspects of current Machaut scholarship.

As part of a three-year Leverhulme-funded project on the musical and literary works and manuscripts of Guillaume de Machaut, led by Prof Yolanda Plumley at the University of Exeter, we are holding a conference drawing together all aspects of current Machaut scholarship.
Speakers will include Jacques Boogaart (Amsterdam), Emma Cayley (Exeter), Emma Dillon (Kings College, London), Virginia Newes (Rochester), R. Barton Palmer (Clemson), Anne Stone (CUNY), and Helen Swift (Oxford).
We have space for a limited number of further papers of c. 20 mins. Abstracts are invited on any facet relating to the music, literature, life or manuscripts of Guillaume de Machaut. The conference will be held at Reed Hall on the beautiful campus of the University of Exeter, recently named Sunday Times University of the Year. As part of the conference we are hosting a concert of Machaut’s music performed by Ensemble Le Basile.
