Le « Working Group 3 » (Dictionnaires et textes) du projet COST « Medioevo Europeo » organise une école d'été de six jours d'initiation à la création et à l'utilisation de bases de données textuelles à des fins historiques et linguistiques.
Cette école d'été est destinée à tous les étudiants et les chercheurs qui travaillent sur des données textuelles médiévales, et qui ont une maîtrise (limitée) des outils informatiques. Il s'agira de montrer, en théorie et en pratique, comment réunir, mettre en forme et exploiter des textes anciens numérisés. Après la prise en main de l'environnement Linux (jour 1) et la création d'un corpus textuel annoté (jour 2), deux journées seront consacrées à l'analyse approfondie des corpus textuels (jours 3 et 4), avant une journée dédiée aux outils d'analyse statistique (jour 5), et la dernière aux problématiques liées à l'interface entre corpus et lexicographie (jour 6).
L'articulation de séances théoriques et pratiques suppose que les participants soient munis d'ordinateurs personnels (avec les droits d'administration), disposant d'au moins 20 Go d'espace libre et de fichiers de textes latins ou romans numérisés ; si la majorité des cours seront donnés en français, le support technique sera multilingue (allemand, anglais, castillan, catalan, français, italien, polonais).

Dans le cadre du financement européen de COST, une dizaine de participants sont éligibles à une bourse d'environ 600 €.

Presentazione
Il «Working Group 3» (Dizionari e testi) del progetto COST «Medioevo Europeo» organizza una scuola estiva di sei giorni di iniziazione alla creazione e all’uso di banche dati testuali per la ricerca storica e linguistica.
Questa scuola estiva è rivolta a tutti gli studenti e ricercatori che lavorano su dati testuali medievali, ma che hanno una scarsa padronanza degli strumenti informatici. Si tratterà di mostrare, in teoria e in pratica, come raccogliere, preparare e usare testi antichi digitalizzati. Dopo la presentazione concreta di Linux (giorno 1) e la creazione di un corpus testuale annotato (giorno 2), due giorni saranno dedicati ad un'analisi approfondita di corpora testuali (giorni 3 e 4), seguirà una giornata dedicata alla presentazione di strumenti di analisi statistica (giorno 5), e un'ultima, alle relazioni tra corpora e lessicografia e alle questioni che esse sollevano (giorno 6).
L'articolazione delle sessioni tra teoria e pratica presuppone che i partecipanti siano dotati di personal computer (con privilegi di amministratore), con almeno 20 GB di spazio libero per i file e i testi latini e romanzi analizzati; benché la maggior parte dei corsi è tenuta in lingua francese, il supporto tecnico sarà multilingue (tedesco, inglese, spagnolo, catalano, francese, italiano, polacco).

Le lezioni sono gratuite, ma il trasporto e l'alloggio sono a carico dei partecipanti (possibilità di alloggio nel luogo delle lezioni a 40€ a notte).
Nell'ambito del finanziamento europeo COST, la metà dei partecipanti sono ammissibili con un aiuto di 600 €.

Grupa Robocza 3 („Słowniki i teksty”) projektu COST „Medioevo Europeo” organizuje sześciodniową szkołę letnią poświęconą wykorzystaniu korpusów i baz tekstów w badaniach historii i języka.
Zajęcia skierowane są do studentów i badaczy, którzy zajmują się tekstami średniowiecznymi, a którzy dysponują jedynie ograniczonymi umiejętnościami informatycznymi. Uczestnicy Szkoły Letniej dowiedzą się w teorii i praktyce, jak zgromadzić, ustrukturyzować, a następnie wykorzystywać cyfrowe wersje tekstów dawnych. Po zapoznaniu się ze środowiskiem Linux (1. dzień) oraz z zasadami tworzenia korpusu anotowanego (2. dzień), przez dwa dni poznawać będą oni zasady pogłębionej analizy korpusu (3. i 4. dzień), by następnie zapoznać się z narzędziami analizy statystycznej (5. dzień) oraz problemem związków pomiędzy korpusami a narzędziami leksykograficznymi (6. dzień).
Ponieważ zajęcia będą miały w dużej mierze charakter praktyczny, uczestnicy winni dysponować laptopem z przynajmniej 20 GB danych oraz cyfrowymi wersjami wybranych przez siebie tekstów (w formacie .txt lub innym tekstowym). Zajęcia szkoły letniej będą prowadzone przede wszystkim w j. francuskim, w razie jednak potrzeby uczestnicy mogą liczyć na pomoc w j. angielskim, kastylijskim, katalońskim, niemieckim, polskim i włoskim.

Liczba uczestników Szkoły ograniczona jest do 20 osób, które pochodzić muszą z jednego z 36 krajów współtworzących program COST (http://www.cost.eu/about_cost/cost_countries).

Udział w Szkole jest bezpłatny, jednak koszty pobytu i przejazdu pokrywają sami uczestnicy (organizator lokalny umożliwia nocleg w cenie ok. 40 euro / noc).
W miarę możliwości finansowych projektu przewiduje się przyznanie kilkunastu stypendiów pobytowych w wysokości ok. 600 euro / osobę.

Esta escuela se dirige a todos los estudiantes y a los investigadores que trabajan con datos textuales medievales, y que tienen un dominio (limitado) de las herramientas informáticas. Se tratará de enseñar, en la teoría y en la práctica, cómo reunir, poner en forma y explotar textos antiguos en formato digital. Después de la toma de contacto con el entorno Linux (día 1) y la creación de un corpus textual anotado (día 2), se consagrarán dos días al análisis avanzado de corpus textuales (días 3 y 4), además se dedicará una jornada a las herramientas de análisis estadístico (día 5), y una última a las problemáticas relacionadas con la interfaz de corpus y lexicografía (día 6).
La articulación de las sesiones teóricas y prácticas presupone que los participantes tengan a su disposición sus ordenadores personales (con todos los derechos de administración) y que dispongan de mí nimo 20Go de espacio libre en disco y de ficheros de textos latinos o románicos en formato digital; aunque la mayoría de los cursos se darán en lengua francesa, el soporte técnico será multilingüe (alemán, inglés, castellano, catalán, francés, italiano y polonés).

Argument
The COST “Medioevo Europeo” Working Group 3 (Dictionaries and texts) is organising a six-day training school that will provide an introduction to the creation and use of textual corpora in the historical and linguistic research.
This summer school is intended for all students and researchers working on medieval textual data, with a (limited) knowledge of IT tools. The purpose of our training school is to show, in theory and practice, how to assemble, encode and analyse digitised medieval texts. The first day will provide an overview of the Linux environment, and will be followed by a full day on the creation of an annotated textual corpus (day 2). The third and fourth days will be devoted to textual analysis, followed by a day on statistical analysis tools (day 5). The last day will focus on the relationship between corpora and lexicography and related issues (day 6).
Participants should bring their own personal computers (with at least 20 Gb of free space), and a digital copy of the texts they plan to work on. Most courses will be taught in French, but technical support will be offered in other European languages (German, English, Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian and Polish) as well.

Präsentation
Die 3. Arbeitsgruppe (Wörterbücher und Texte) des Projekts COST „Medioevo Europeo“ veranstaltet eine sechstägige Sommerschule, die eine Einführung in die Erstellung und Verwendung von Text-Korpora zu historischen und sprachwissenschaftlichen Zwecken bieten wird.
Diese Sommerschule ist an alle Studenten und Forscher gerichtet, die über mittelalterliche Texte arbeiten und über (begrenzte) IT-Kenntnisse verfügen. Es soll in Theorie und Praxis vorgeführt werden, wie digitalisierte mittelalterliche Texte zusammenzustellen, zu codieren und zu analysieren sind. Am ersten Tag wird die Linux-Umgebung im Überblick vorgestellt. Am nächsten Tag wird aufgezeigt, wie ein kommentiertes Textkorpus entsteht. Die zwei darauf folgenden Tage sollen der Textanalyse gewidmet werden, am fünften Tag soll ein Einblick in die statistischen Instrumente gegeben werden. Am letzten Tag wird es um die Beziehung zwischen Korpora und Lexikographie u.ä. gehen.
Die Teilnehmer werden gebeten, ihr eigenes Notebook (mit mindestens 20 Gb freier Speicherplatz) sowie eine digitale Kopie der Texte, worüber sie arbeiten wollen, mitzubringen. Die Unterrichtssprache wird grundsätzlich Französisch sein, technische Unterstützung wird aber auch in anderen Sprachen angeboten (Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch, Katalanisch, Französisch, Italienisch und Polnisch).

Die wissenschaftliche Kommission wird maximal 20 Studenten auswählen (nur Studenten aus einem der COST-Länder [http://www.cost.eu/about_cost/cost_countries]).
