Abstract

Presentation
The student association Routes de l'Orient is currently inviting papers to be included in the next issue of its online publication. The second issue will be devoted to ritual space(s) (French "espace(s) cultuel(s)").
The editors welcome any contribution relating to the above theme and based on archaeological data from the greater Eastern world from the Mediterranean shores to the Indus and from the Central Asian steppes to the Arabian peninsula, with a time-scale ranging from the Palaeolithic to the pre-Islamic period.
Eclectic approaches of the theme are welcome: a paper may conduct a spatial analysis of artefacts found in a sacred space, or develop an architectural case-study.
Our association aims in particular at advertising current research investigations in Oriental archaeology. We therefore wish to include in every issue a selection of short articles presenting excavations in progress (no more than 1,500 words long). These will form a "digger's notebook" section.
Submission guidelines
Papers can be submitted in English or French and must be 1500 to 8000 words long (without references). Instructions for prospective authors are available on our website or on request to our editorial board.
Final versions need to be sent through post or email
before November 17th 2014.
