Argument

The research seminar Historiographies antiques ("Ancient Historiographies") aims at assembling scholars working on the writing of history in Antiquity, regardless of their field (philology, history, archeology, philosophy...).

As it was last year, the last session will be an opened session, whose subject will be chosen after this call for papers. It will take place in Paris, at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre, either on Saturday 13th May 2017 or Saturday 20th May 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m.

It will consist of a 45 minute paper, followed by a discussion begun by a relator, who will ask the first questions. For the relator to be able to carry out this task as well as possible, a first version of the paper, which need not to be the final one, should be communicated at least a week before the session. The text of the paper will eventually be published on the Hypothese blog of the seminar (www.storioant.hypothese.org), its author being then, of course, absolutely free to modify or reuse it, for instance as an article.

Submission guidelines

All interested scholars are invited to send a proposition not exceeding two pages to Pauline Duchêne (pduchenepro@gmail.com),

until January 31st 2017.

The choice of the organizers will be communicated in February.
