Intelligent Platform for Smart Port (IPaSPort)
Published on Tuesday, March 07, 2017
Abstract
The development of ports and their environment (hinterland and logistic corridors) needs innovative technological solutions. These solutions concern the new technologies of highly communicating components (Captors, RFID, Internet of Things, etc.) as well as new information systems aimed to integrate the complexity of huge databases (Big Data intelligent management). The objective of this international conference is to join researchers and engineers interesting on the development of new spatial-temporal tools for port development, able to integrate the multiplicity of challenges for territorial development and efficiency, respecting environment and predictive impacts of climatic evolution.

Argument
The development of ports and their environment (hinterland and logistic corridors) needs innovative technological solutions. These solutions concern the new technologies of highly communicating components (Captors, RFID, Internet of Things, etc.) as well as new information systems aimed to integrate the complexity of huge databases (Big Data intelligent management). The objective of this international conference is to join researchers and engineers interesting on the development of new spatial-temporal tools for port development, able to integrate the multiplicity of challenges for territorial development and efficiency, respecting environment and predictive impacts of climatic evolution. IPaSPort’2017 international conference deals with new generation of concepts in multi-actors and multi-objective complex systems in the one hand and with the development of artificial intelligence engineering for flux numerical management in order to control good flux and economical flux over territories on the other hand. One of the challenges is the necessity to have an integrative and systematic approach for logistics processes inside smart ports, their city-port or industry-port interface but also hinterland and corridor interface. We aim to facilitate flux respecting territorial evolution, societal and environmental impacts. Another challenge is a technological one, based on the development of an intelligent platform for multi-scale control of territorial ports and logistic ecosystems. The objective is to conduct automatic processes able to be regulated with physical internet and blockchains (smart containers for example) in the one hand and to produce tools from artificial intelligence and complex systems modeling to analyze the complexity of actors’ behaviors, of their logistic territories to help in decision making.
