Ziel der Tagung der koordinierten Projektgruppe „Martyrium und Märtyrerkult“ des Exzellenzclusters „Religion und Politik“ der Universität Münster ist es deshalb, die Formen und Funktionen dieser Märtyrerkonstruktionen anhand von Fallbeispielen von der Antike bis ins 20.
