  At the 18^th Potsdam Postgraduate Forum on Contemporary History, we propose to take the concept of “precarity” as a starting point to inquire into situations of insecure circumstances in contemporary history: (co-)productions and perceptions of them, ways of dealing with them, and their effects on those exposed to them.

  Der 30. Kongress für Fremdsprachendidaktik der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Fremdsprachenforschung (DGFF) findet vom 26. bis 29. September 2023 an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Freiburg im Breisgau unter dem Tagungsmotto “Grenzen – Grenzräume – Entgrenzungen” statt. Wir freuen uns über Einreichungen in folgenden Bereichen bis zum 30.11.2022: Intradisziplinäre Grenzen, Grenzräume und Entgrenzungen innerhalb der Fremdsprachen(forschung) ; Interdisziplinäre Grenzen, Grenzräume und Entgrenzungen zwischen der Fremdsprachenforschung/-didaktik und anderen Teildisziplinen innerhalb der Philologie und mit anderen Fachbereichen ; Grenzen, Grenzräume und Entgrenzungen zwischen Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft (inkl. Bildungsinstitutionen wie Schulen, Erwachsenenbildung, Integrationsprogramme).

  Five research assistant positions for the project "Decoding Antisemitsm"

  For a 3-year research project on anti-semitic hate speech and hate images on the internet, research assistants are wanted. A qual­it­at­ive lin­guistic con­tent ana­lysis of social media com­ments and analysis of image mater­ial and text-image rela­tion­ships related to anti­semitic con­tent is planned. In addi­tion, quant­it­at­ive lin­guistic meth­ods will also be applied to the social media cor­pus. For the coun­try teams we are seek­ing two doc­toral stu­dents for the Eng­lish lan­guage area, two for the French lan­guage area and one for the Ger­man lan­guage area.

  Professorship in the history of the anthropocene

  We invite applications from scholars with documented research interests in the domains of environmental history, the history of knowledge, or science/technology history, and with a focus on the 19^th to the 21^st centuries. The professor will have to develop innovative teaching and research at the Department of History in the domain of the History of the Anthropocene, with a concentration in, for example, climate, plants, animals, energy, resources or environment.

  La protection du patrimoine culturel en Europe et en Rhénanie

  Franziskus comte Wolff Metternich et le Kunstschutz pendant la seconde guerre mondiale

  Ce colloque traitera de la protection du patrimoine culturel en Europe et en Rhénanie. Franziskus comte Wolff Metternich (1893-1978), conservateur provincial et du Land de Rhénanie entre 1928 et 1950, et directeur du Kunstschutz dans les territoires occupés pendant la seconde guerre mondiale, joue par son activité un rôle important dans la réflexion sur la protection des biens culturels au XX^e siècle. Le colloque se propose de présenter les résultats rassemblés par un projet de recherche de trois ans sur les sources du Kunstschutz et sur le réseau de Wolff Metternich, projet implanté au sein du LVR -AFZ (Archivberatungs- und Fortbildungszentrum du Landschaftsverband Rheinland / Centre de conseil et de formation en archives des autorités régionales de Rhénanie).

  Critiques de la démocratie, autoritarismes, populismes en Europe

  Quelles continuités et ruptures entre l'entre-deux-guerres et aujourd'hui ?

  Face au sentiment de « crise » de la démocratie de ces dernières années, amplifié par la montée des mouvements populistes, la comparaison avec l’entre-deux-guerres est récurrente dans le débat politique de nombreux pays européens. Est-elle pour autant pertinente pour comprendre les enjeux démocratiques spécifiques aux deux périodes ? Tel est le point de départ de la journée d’étude inaugurant le Programme formation recherche « Quelle(s) démocratie(s) ? Réflexions sur la crise, la modernisation et les limites de la démocratie en Allemagne, en France, en Angleterre et en Europe centrale entre 1919 et 1939 » soutenu par le Centre interdisciplinaire d’études et de recherches sur l’Allemagne (CIERA).

  On 21 and 22 March 2017, the 9^th TextGrid. DARIAH User Meeting will take place at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften) in Munich. The conference focusses on digital editions and geographic data. As at the 8th User Meeting, the event will provide an opportunity for beginners to become acquainted with TextGrid by processing typical use cases.

  Les relations culturelles franco-allemandes entre 1945 et 1960

  50 Jahre nach Abschluss der Elysée-Verträge mustert dieses Kolloquium die ersten eineinhalb Jahrzehnte der deutsch-französischen Kulturbeziehungen nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Neben einer Vergewisserung über theoretische und methodische Herausforderungen dieses Themas stehen vor allem bisher in der Forschung weniger beachtete Begegnungen, Konstellationen und Mittlerfiguren im Mittelpunkt.

  Franco-German relations and the issues of transnational networks

  Le Franco-Allemand ou les enjeux des réseaux transnationaux

  L'année 2013 est marquée par la célébration des 50 ans du Traité de l'Elysée. C'est à cette occasion que le département des études interculturelles sous la direction de Prof. Dr. Dorothee Röseberg organise un colloque franco-allemand qui a pour sujet le Franco-Allemand. La manifestation aura lieu du 14 au 16 juin dans les bâtiments de la LEUCORA à Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Le colloque s'adresse particulièrement à de jeunes chercheurs francais et allemands qui travaillent dans le cadre de leur qualification sur des aspects du transnational.
