Dans une approche interdisciplinaire qui cherche à associer une perspective littéraire et de sciences sociales (histoire, sociologie), ce projet postdoctoral propose d’étudier la traduction d’une expérience particulière, celle de la violence extrême, en un discours qui pose les conditions à la fois de sa propre compréhension et de sa propre incompréhension. Il part du constat que la Shoah a durablement modifié les modalités discursives de ce type de témoignage et cherche à sonder les problématiques conditions d’émergence de ce discours dans une perspective plurilingue et interculturelle, une perspective qui caractérise fondamentalement le témoignage après 1945.

The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Programme offers 10-month fellowships in the seven Institutes of Aix-Marseille, Loire Valley (Orléans-Tours), Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, Paris and Rennes. It welcomes applications from high-level international scholars and scientists develop their innovative research project in France. The call is open to all disciplines in the social sciences and the humanities (SSH) and all research fields. Research projects in other sciences and in arts that propose a strong interaction and dialogue with the SSH are also eligible. Some host IAS have scientific priorities that need to be taken into full consideration before applying.

The Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF, National Library of France) in partnership with the Centre de recherche français de Jérusalem (CRFJ, French Research Centre in Jerusalem), has launched a call for applications for individual research grants aimed to support the identification, description and/or study of collections held by the Custody of the Holy Land. These collections, which are being digitised will the assistance of the BnF, will be made available on Gallica as part of the Bibliothèques d’Orient (Libraries of the Middle East) project. The grant holders can be doctoral students, post-doctoral scholars or master’s level students in any discipline of the human and social sciences, regardless of nationality or main institutional affiliation.

Poesiæuropa aims to discuss the features of contemporary humanistic culture, especially from the perspective of poets, to reflect on the value of our cultural and spiritual roots, and to develop – together – a vision for the future. The fifth edition of Poesiæuropa will take place in 2023 and gather authors and scholars from many countries in a special school on the Polvese Island (Lake Trasimeno, Umbria, Italy) from May 30 to June 3, 2023. There are 20 fellowships available, and applications for them are free: There are no limits of age, job, or nationality. Each fellowship covers accomodation costs, but not travel costs.
