La première République en images : genèse, circulation et postérité d’une imagerie politique
À l’occasion des 150 ans de sa proclamation, le colloque « La première République en images » entend examiner l’épisode historique qu’est la première république espagnole à l’aune de l’iconographie politique à laquelle il a donné lieu, afin de récupérer et d’historiciser les images de/sur cette période tout en leur rendant leur identité et leur(s) significations(s). Des études monographiques ou comparées sur tous les types de pratiques plastiques mobilisées par cette iconographie (caricatures, gravures, peintures, photographies, sculptures, scénographies, etc.) pourront donc alimenter la réflexion de ce colloque, que ces pratiques aient été élaborées en Espagne ou à l’étranger, ou qu’elles aient pour support des objets de la vie quotidienne (éventails, vaisselle, boîtes d’allumettes, tabac, etc.)

Enseignant·e·s de langues, méthodologies et formation dans une perspective historique
Aujourd’hui, à un moment où les écoles et les universités se débattent dans certains pays, notamment au Portugal, avec un corps enseignant de plus en plus vieilli (sur le point de partir à la retraite), la question du recrutement, du statut et du profil de l’enseignant·e des langues est une question brûlante. Ce congrès veut mettre l’accent sur l’héritage du passé dans la matière et apporter de nouveaux éclairages dans une perspective historique, historicisante et comparatiste sur les modalités opératoires autour de l’action pédagogique de la figure de ceux et de celles qui avaient à leur charge l’enseignement des langues vivantes/ étrangères. Il s’agit de creuser la connaissance de certaines pratiques pédagogiques promues par des acteur·trice·s (précepteur·trice·s, maître·esse·s ou professeur·e·s de langues) qui sont détenteur·trice·s de différents modèles de formation et de certains acquis transmissibles au long de leur carrière au sein du système éducatif.

Rhythm is a central element in the creation of meaning in art, and its configuration is such that it requires a multi, inter and transdisciplinary approach. The difference of materials, procedures and events masks the resemblance of rhythmic phenomena that are similar in different arts and hides their identity or their homology. In the work of some scholars, the concepts do not seem to belong to a particular artistic discipline, being rather characteristic of the rhythmic phenomenon. The objective of this conference is to provide an instance for exchanging knowledge, concerns and aspirations for those who have been devoting themselves to the study of rhythm and artistic creation on the subject.

The Book is a phenomenon that combines the fascination of its manifestations of yesteryear to the current debates and practices that announce future paths and dilemmas. We propose in this call an exercise that recovers the procedures and techniques that gained body to welcome another invention, that of writing, which inscribes the history of copyists, printing typographers who moved between cities and countries in search of business, that of their emergence in monasteries, courts, universities, binder workshops and typographies, that of street vendors and that of the production and marketing circuits.

L’ampleur transnationale du moment ’68 et ses manifestations particulièrement importantes en Amérique latine se présentent comme une source significative afin d’analyser la présence de l’Amérique latine dans la presse de la fin du franquisme, le suivi des conflits socio-politiques du continent ou les lectures internes faites par les médias espagnols des expériences latino-américaines. Cette journée d’étude aura pour objectif de s’interroger sur les conditions de production de l’information en Espagne à partir de 1966 en relation avec l’Amérique latine.

Decentering the analysis of Africa-China relations

The question put forward by the vast majority of works studying the relations between Africa and China is “What is China doing in Africa? What are the Chinese doing in Africa?”, thus often overlooking the anthropological dimension of social, economic, and political change in which African actors can reclaim their place, in other words an approach that would decenter China and the Chinese in order to shed light on the microfoundations of the macroprocesses of development by examining Africa and Africans. Agency – or agentivité as it is now commonly called in French – is defined here as the ability to effect or introduce socio-economic and political changes in the arena in which the actors are involved. By addressing the question of African agentive practices and norms in Afro-Chinese relations, this call for papers therefore leads to decentering China to focus on Africa.

Learning from territories / Teaching territories
In German (lehren / lernen) as in Arabic (تعليم / تعلم), a single letter distinguishes the concept of teaching from the concept of learning. Whether defined as a theoretical object of scientific knowledge that can be taught or as a body of practices that can be passed on, there is no escaping the need to address the issue of the relationship between the apparent universality of the concept of territory, on the one hand, and the variety of uses to which the term is put and the range of practices associated with it, on the other. The sixth CIST conference will focus on two questions: how to teach about territories (academic knowledge, empirical methods, disciplinary approaches, etc.) and how to learn from territories (observing, exploring, describing, experiencing, etc.).

¿Quién hace tanta bulla? Actualidad de «Trilce»
Plus qu’un simple hommage ou qu’une célébration méritée, ce colloque international autour de Trilce de César Vallejo (Pérou) se propose de penser ce recueil, à l’occasion du centenaire de sa publication, comme l’une des expressions les plus extrêmes de la modernité poétique, dans le cadre de la révolution verbale et artistique provoquée par les premières avant-gardes. Mais ce choix tient aussi et surtout au fait que cet ouvrage demeure vivant, par les multiples œuvres (poétiques, artistiques, critiques, voire philosophiques) qui depuis 1922 jusqu’à nos jours dialoguent avec elle.

Espagnol pour les humanités (II)
La journée d’étude « Espagnol pour les humanités (II) » vise à identifier et à étudier les besoins en compétences langagières et culturelles en espagnol des étudiant·es et des professionnel·les des secteurs de la culture et des sciences humaines et sociales, et à développer des dispositifs pédagogiques adaptés, dans une démarche interculturelle. L’objectif de la journée d’étude est de poursuivre les réflexions sur les langues-cultures de spécialité et leur enseignement universitaire, en se centrant sur les sciences du langage, les sciences de l’éducation, la psychologie et l’administration qui constituent des domaines peu étudiés de ce point de vue, ainsi que sur l’espagnol de spécialité en droit, en économie ou pour les métiers de la communication, questions qui bénéficient d’un intérêt scientifique ou pédagogique plus ancien et pour lesquelles nous espérons susciter de nouveaux éclairages.

Since its origins, Cinema has made evident the existence of an open dialogue with other forms of art, either by having incorporated them into its own language – given its hybrid particularity, being simultaneously narrative, performative, visual and voiced –, or by having used existing productions as inspiration and having created, from them, new forms of art. Literature has proven to be a fertile ground for inspiration. Not by chance, great works that mark the beginning of the cinematographic trajectory were adaptations of novelistic or theatrical literary works. We propose for the issue 43 of Journal Caderno de Letras a dossier on all the potentialities of such dialogue involving Fantastic literary and audiovisual productions, whether based on adaptations (in both directions) or on the direct or indirect presence of Literature in audiovisual media or of audiovisual productions in literary texts.

The automatised transcription of manuscript sources with eScriptorium
Cette formation a pour objet la transcription automatisée de sources manuscrites, en anglais HTR (Handwritten Text Recognition), via l’outil eScriptorium, une alternative libre à Transkribus, développée à l’université PSL en partenariat avec INRIA, qui s’appuie sur l’outil de transcription automatisée Kraken et qui montre ses fruits en termes d’efficacité et de disponibilité du code source. Cette formation sera centrée sur une écriture répandue en Péninsule Ibérique entre le XIIIe et le XVe siècle, représentée par un manuscrit du scriptorium du roi Alphonse X, le Sage (1221-1284), autour duquel tournera la formation, et à partir duquel sera produit un modèle de reconnaissance automatique qui sera publié par la suite. Il s’agira ici de faire dialoguer philologie et humanités numériques.

Analysis of digital discourse: epistemological and methodological issues
La journée d’étude, qui aura comme thème l'analyse du discours des corpus numériques, est organisée par l’association ADAL (Analyse des discours de l'Amérique latine) avec le soutien de l’université de Limoges (laboratoire EHIC). Cet événement débattra autour des discours politiques et médiatiques en ligne et cela sur différents terrains de recherche. Seront acceptés des travaux portant sur les discours de blogs ou forums, sur les réseaux sociaux numériques ou encore sur les moyens de communication en ligne.

Social, intellectual and moral functions
Musei, sive bibliothecae tan privatae quam publicae Extructio, Instructio, Cura, Usus (Lyon, 1635) du jésuite Claude Clément (Ornans, 1596-Madrid, 1642) est considéré comme l’un des ouvrages fondateurs de ce qu’on appellera plus tard la bibliothéconomie. Au-delà de ses apports théoriques, il s’agit aussi d’un recueil d’érudition d’une extraordinaire richesse, à l’image de la langue latine que l’auteur emploie. Une équipe de chercheurs appartenant à l'Institut des sciences et techniques de l’Antiquité se consacre à l’étude et à la traduction de ce livre en français en commençant par le discours programmatique de l’œuvre. Cette équipe souhaite pouvoir partager son travail et interagir avec d’autres chercheurs que ces questions intriguent lors d’une rencontre scientifique.

The latest in the series of Collège international des sciences territoriales (FR2007 CIST) conferences, this 5th international conference spotlights the concept of population as a central issue in the debates within territorial sciences. The concept of population, which is central to demography and biology and more marginal for other disciplines, involves the grouping together of individual entities. Depending on the particular approach used, the preferred criterion for aggregation will be the social, territorial, biological, etc., with timescales and observation scales varying accordingly. Linking together population, time and territory in a transdisciplinary and international perspective is the main goal of this conference; beyond the fact that it represents a theoretical and methodological breakthrough, the diversity of the proposed thematic sessions is a clear sign that this trio is at the heart of contemporary issues.
