The transition to the Immersive Didactics
From educational solutions during the confinement of Covid-19 to the teaching in the metaverse
Didactics, like any other fields of science, has embarked on a process of transformation that has been the product of the fourth industrial revolution. It has delivered most educational programmes to the student in an interactive way, ostensibly taking a cursive form in its relations with users regardless of the diversity of their educational field, while hiding a very complex form at the level of programming. We aim, through this international conference, to question the transition observed by the didactics of teaching, regardless of its scientific, literary or artistic field, to provide teacher-interactive lessons, as limiting the presentation of lessons to “PowerPoint” slides or PDF files uploaded on teaching platforms, no longer meets the requirements of the learner.

New Perspectives on Researching the Military
Often called out for its lack of inclusion and diversity, it is not only the military institution that needs to change, but also the way it is studied. Now more than ever, marginalized voices and perspectives need to be seen and heard as they can provide insights into key challenges the military institution currently faces. This two-day event – which will encompass a conference and a workshop – aims to bring together members from the defence community to exchange ideas and bring new perspectives on the future of research on the military.

Languages in European University Alliances: challenges and issues
Strategic partnerships across the EU between higher education institutions encouraged the emergence of European Universities, a key driver for improving the quality of Higher Education and strengthening links with the European research and innovation landscape, but also with society and the economy. Which will be the role of languages in University Alliances’ strategies for interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches, maintaining different contextual linguistic, rhetorical, and disciplinary traditions? Will multilingualism be enhanced, and with what perspectives? The CEL/ELC (European Language Council) Forum intends to bring together contributions, experiences, and reflections on the role of languages in HELP (Language Policy in Higher Education), on strategies for their valorisation, on intercomprehension practices, on methodologies and actions to promote plurilingualism.

Transition to Online Learning Modalities in Times of Covid-19 Crisis
Teachers’ Experiences and Expectations around the World
Educational organizations all over the world have been forced to the immediate shift in their systems and practices to online education (OE) because of the disruptions and disjuntures that the crisis situation of the global covid-19 pandemic has created. Hence, the main aim of this conference is to provide insights into the effective adoption of OE in universities in Algeria and around the world. This would support universities educational policies, contribute to a scientific understanding of the adoption of OE and share research findings related to the conference theme with global experts.

Conference, symposium - Ethnology, anthropology
Hungary, Folklore and Modernity
FolkFocus
The conference aims to study the hungarian folk movement called “táncházmozgalom” (“dance house movement”). In 2022, this movement celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the first “táncház” (“dance house”, type of traditional dance ball), held in Budapest on the 6th of May 1972. The process of “learning by doing” is a central dynamic to the personal investment of the youngsters in this movement, during the music and dance lessons as well as during the táncházak (dance houses), koncertek (concerts) and táborok (camps). The dance house movement is also very much marked by hungarian ethnography of the XXth century. The practices of dancing and music are anchored in the consulting of numerous works and archives of ethnographic collections from the last century. As such, the “táncházmozgalom” is often called “revival movement” since it brings melodies and steps of rural folk music back up to date in the modern and urban context of Budapest.

Medieval studies and medievalism both focus on the same object, the Middle Ages. Yet their approaches are different. Long separated, medieval studies and medievalism are now challenged to rethink their links in research, teaching and social dissemination of knowledge. The summer school aims to help young researchers to strengthen their understanding of these scientific developments, to position their research effectively, and to develop networks with international researchers. The school, in French and English, proposes lectures by world-renowned specialists, debates, meetings with professionals and practical workshops.

Distance education : a brave new world?
Modalities, challenges, opportunities and prospects
When the closure of schools and universities was imposed by governments across the globe to curb the pandemic in March 2020, the use of digital tools and platforms became the only way to ensure continuity of teaching and learning. Thus, a form of emergency distance teaching unexpectedly appeared and was imposed on teachers, learners and all the staff who provide pedagogical, pastoral and administrative support, who create content and who manage logistics. This emergency form of distance teaching and hybrid teaching modes are still widespread around the world today. This event will be dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of distance education in the time of Covid-19 and its aftermath.

Principles and actions for second language training, in migratory and pandemic contexts
This call for papers follows on the colloquium held in Metz in September 2018 and is based on the various measures put in place to welcome migrants through language training. As the context in which we work has evolved, our thinking and actions now take into account the health crisis, which has multiplied the fragilities and vulnerabilities that had increased by the turn of the century with globalization, and even more so, the migration flow, which involved and still involve the responsibility of host societies. As for the new fragilities and vulnerabilities that have emerged in the pandemic context, they concern in particular the freedom of mobility, access to online courses, and the impacts of social distancing.

Work languages/languages at work
Études en didactique des langues journal, no.38
This issue of FLLTR is devoted to the relationship between the workplace and languages. The terms “working language” and “language at work” cover different realities. The first is a language commonly used in a professional context. The second is used to carry out certain tasks such as writing a report, a technical note or an article. This raises the problem of upstream training. In higher education in particular, language learning and acquisition are key aspects of student training. There is also the problem of the predominance of English. How much emphasis should be given to other languages in training in order to stimulate reflection on the interface between companies and training?

The Discourse of “Rumor” in the Digital Age
Rumor is a phenomenon that manifests itself in its destructive aspect. Even its dated appearance in the very first years of the twentieth century does not seem to be enough to make an “epistemological break”, as Bachelard said, “The rumor continues to be a phenomenon more believed than known in discourses” To this discursive form of rumor, its dissemination added as another dimension, because the term in question had an oral connotation, setting aside the iconic and scriptural mediation. However, we are accepting, for some time now, that the discourse of rumor could adapt to other linguistic media categories such as writings, images, caricature, especially with the advent of the Internet.

The issue of living together in teaching training. From policies to practices

Laboreal Dossier
If human beings are the result of a historical process and not the product of a pre-established plan, it is important to emphasize the significance of cooperative actions for their preservation throughout this process. A path in which work – as a constitutive element of our species – plays a decisive role in these actions. How has cooperation been taking place in formal and informal work activities? How have the current modes of management and their evaluation and training systems contributed to the construction or weakening of cooperative acts at work? What are the requirements to build cooperation?
