    Academic journal "IDEA - Interdisciplinary Discourses, Education and Analysis"

    Online academic journal IDEA - Interdisciplinary Discourses, Education and Analysis launches a new call for articles dedicated to different aspects and forms of Visual History, for one of its future issues to be published in 2022. The journal issue intends to question the disciplinary boundaries between some scholarly areas and to shape new research paradigms in the contexts of historiography, the epistemology of history, the anthropology of representations, memory studies, and film studies.

    Call for papers - Africa

    Perspectives on Women’s Autobiographies from Africa and the Diaspora

    This international conference aims to examine the autobiographies of women from Africa (during colonial and post-colonial periods) and the Diaspora to shed light on the meaning and significance of the various messages conveyed through those texts. Although there is an abundance of autobiographical texts by these women, many remain unknown to the general public. From that angle, the conference is positioned as a real prospect to further bring those half- veiled writings to public's attention. As such, the conference intends to bring together scholars, researchers, experts and doctoral students, in human and social sciences, as well as in languages ​​and arts, affiliated to universities, research centers, NGOs and civil societies in Africa and around the world. Their objective is to present and discuss women's autobiographical writings from Africa and the Diaspora from a multidisciplinary perpective.

    L’école, microsociété caractérisée par la mixité, la pluralité et la singularité des publics qu’elle accueille, est au cœur des débats sociétaux. Les parcours individuels et collectifs qui la traversent et les représentations multiples dont elle fait l’objet témoignent des enjeux politiques qui la sous-tendent. Au centre des dynamiques tant sociales qu’identitaires, l’espace scolaire s’affirme comme le lieu de l’expérience de l’altérité (Barry, 2018). La question de la diversité à l’école sera au cœur de ce numéro thématique.
