Argument

The Réseau Art Nouveau Network, as part of its 2023 activities, is organising a series of ten online conferences addressed to a scientific and professional audience, although the particularity of the theme will certainly arouse the interest and curiosity of the large community of Art Nouveau enthusiasts.

After the success of 2022, this second series of conferences is dedicated to "Restoration". Architects, craftsmen and other professionals are invited to present Art Nouveau places and spaces that have been restored, conserved and converted.

We want to highlight good practice in the restoration of different materials and the solutions adopted that respect and enhance the spirit of the place.

We invite international experts in the field of restoration: architects, restorers and craftsmen to send us proposals for lectures.  Each speaker will have 45’ to present the subject of his/ her work and may also invite colleagues and collaborators who have accompanied him/her on the site. We would like these conferences to be an opportunity discovery and dynamic exchange, capable of encouraging exchanges with our public composed by experts, professionals and Art Nouveau lovers. Visual aids such as videos and digital reconstructions are welcome. If you think there might be a possibility to organise the conference on-site with a streaming connection, please do not hesitate to let us know. We will be happy to consider this possibility.

To apply, please send us an abstract of no more than 500 words, the title of their conference, a short biography of the speaker.s, a self-portrait and 3 photos representative of the topic.
