Abstract
The aim of this symposium is to examine contemporary temporal evolutions in the fields of urban planning and development. It is part of the “UrbaTime. Les temps de l’urbanisme durable” research program (2018-2024), which offers a cross-disciplinary analysis of various contemporary urban planning concepts based on the short-term and the temporary, proposing a new way of thinking about the relationship between planning and time, and whose main results will be presented during the conference.

Presentation
The aim of this symposium is to examine contemporary temporal evolutions in the fields of urban planning and development. It is part of the "UrbaTime. Les temps de l'urbanisme durable" research program, which proposes a cross-disciplinary analysis of different contemporary urban planning concepts.
The colloquium aims to broaden the perspective and open a dialogue with other researchers integrating a reflection on time in different fields of urban planning and development. It is divided into 3 axes:
- AXIS 1: Dealing with time: strategies, processes and relationships between players in the face of complexity and uncertainty
- AXIS 2: Short-term/long-term: social, operational and institutional dynamics tested over time
- AXIS 3: Circulation of knowledge about time in urban planning
Submission guidelines
Paper proposals are due by November 10, 2023.
They should be submitted directly to the Sciencesconf website dedicated to the symposium: https://colloque-urbatime.sciencesconf.org
Paper proposals should include :
- first names and surnames of the author(s) and their affiliations, specifying for each, the structure to which they are attached if applicable, and full contact details (e-mail address, postal address, telephone number). A main correspondent must be clearly identified;
- the title of the communication;
- 5 keywords;
- the focus of the proposal (one of the 3 areas covered by the call);
- a summary of the paper, clearly identifying the central argument of the proposal, the methodology used for the research and the main results presented (3,000 characters, including spaces);
- a short bibliography.

During the colloquium, the selected speakers will have 20 minutes to present their papers (followed by a time for discussion with the audience).
