Ce colloque vise à créer des ponts entre les sciences, théories et politiques contemporaines en se concentrant sur les différentes façons dont elles abordent et intègrent la relationnalité biologique, comprise comme l'enchevêtrement des entités vivantes entre elles à différentes échelles (cellulaire, physiologique, multi-espèces, écosystémique, planétaire, etc.) et avec des entités non vivantes (polluants, machines, matière elle-même, etc.).

Présentation

En invitant à la fois les scientifiques et les théoricien·nes de la vie à entrer en conversation, le colloque vise donc à générer un champ d'échanges interdisciplinaires au-delà de la séparation habituelle entre la science et la théorie, où les prémisses, les concepts et les méthodologies de chacune sont à la fois centrés et décentrés. Tout en respectant les points de départ des différentes disciplines et domaines, il valorise une forme de relationnalité pensée comme le croisement de différents points de vue et problèmes par le biais d'une pratique de réflexivité, de respons(h)abilité et de synergie. De quelle manière la relationnalité biologique est-elle opérationnalisée dans le monde universitaire et quelles reconfigurations de la connaissance pourraient être produites par la rencontre frictionnelle de la science, de la théorie et de la politique ?

Outre les considérations liées aux aspects épistémologiques et ontologiques des sciences de la vie et des théories du vivant, les sessions de conférence viseront à élargir le champ de la réflexion pour inclure l'horizon social et politique de la relationnalité dans les sciences et les théories contemporaines de la vie, en accordant une attention particulière aux contributions féministes. À la fin du colloque, une session semi-informelle sera consacrée à des remarques collectives, des retours d'expérience et des échanges axés sur les frictions et les synergies générées par la portée transversale de la conférence.
