Argument
The dossier ‘Sex Work and the Sex Workers’ Movement: Art and Politics‘ aims to explore the intersection between art and politics that the sex workers’ movement in Brazil and around the world has triggered. Borrowing this perspective, that is, using the movement's own strategy as an opportunity to approach the world of prostitution in a broader way, beyond direct dialogue with the state and beyond the institutionality of the movement, we seek to bring together works that describe and/or discuss prostitution and the figure of the prostitute from their aesthetic and creative aspects.
Guest editors
The Dossier is organised by Natânia Lopes (UFF/Coletivo Puta da Vida); Amara Moira (Museum of Sexual Diversity); and Gabriel Medeiros (Unicamp).
Submission Guidelines
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; contrarily, this must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- URLs for the references must be informed whenever possible.
- The text is in 1,5 spacing; size 12 font; uses italic instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); images and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
- The text has up to 50 thousand characters without spaces, which results in about 20 pages.
- The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the section “Guidelines for Authors”.
- In the case of submission to a peer-reviewed section (e.g. articles), the instructions available in the section “Assegurando a Avaliação por Pares Cega” have been followed.

Evaluation
The Editorial Committee will judge whether the article corresponds to one of the journal's editorial lines. Upon being judged of interest, the article will be evaluated by two referees who are doctors and specialists in the subject, external to the committee and to the editorial board, and who will not have contact with the other opinion made on the same text. If the decision is conflicting, we send the text to a third opinion, to decide on publication. The names of reviewers and authors will be kept confidential throughout the evaluation process.
