Abstract

How can the ecological transition also become a democratic transition? What role can energy communities, public participation, and environmental justice play in this process?

Presentation

This conference, organized as part of the PRIN PNRR project "Democratizing Energy, Energizing Democracy", will bring together some of the most authoritative voices in the international debate on energy, environment, and democracy.

Keynote speakers will include John Dryzek, Stephen Elstub, and Bregje Van Veelen. Other confirmed speakers include Pierrick Chalaye, Stéphanie Déchezelles, Aurore Dudka, Ivano Scotti, Lorenzo De Vidovich, Giulia Rispoli, Massimo Cuono, Vittorio Martone, and Eleonora Piromalli, with contributions ranging from political philosophy to environmental sociology, democratic theory, and social movement research

Sessions will be held in English (September 18) and Italian (September 19), with simultaneous translation available for speakers and attendees.
