O encontro reúne conferências com debates, uma mesa redonda, um workshop de música, e lança um Manifesto para tratar a necessidade de promover «a igual visibilidade e simetria entre mulheres e homens».

Presentation
The Ponte Cultural-BRIDGES project, in conjunction with GabIgual at the University of Évora, is promoting a seminar alluding to Women’s Month, entitled “Women in Focus: from narrative to representation in language, art, heritage, and the digital world.” It will take place on March 17th and 18th, in both in-person and online formats.
It begins on the afternoon of the 17th, at the Colégio do Espirito Santo (CES Anfit. 131). We will share with the academic community some of the activities carried out at the University of Évora in the context of gender equality. After a lecture on inclusive language for women, there will be a round table discussion with the participation of several university leaders, with a view to proposing more inclusive communication strategies that promote the visibility of women, in a proposal aligned with European regulations.
The initiative, taken by the BRIDGES project and Gabigual-UÉ (organised by the University of Évora), demonstrates a commitment to the principles promoting women’s equality in Portugal, as championed by the Portuguese government in accordance with European Union regulations.Further details can be found on the website.
