Giovanni Tarello Department for Legal Culture
The Faculty of Law of the University of Genoa and its “Giovanni Tarello” Department for Legal Culture are organising a Post Graduate Master Programme (one year, 60 ECTS) in Global Rule of Law & Constitutional Democracy / Estado de Derecho Global y Democracia Constitucional
This semi residential programme requires a 4-week presence in Imperia (Italy) in January/February 2012 and is limited to a maximum of 25 students. The rest of the programme (from November 1, 2011 to Octobre 31, 2012) will be delivered on-line through a special distant learning platform. The programme offers up to ten scholarships and is addressed to:
- students with (or in the process of finalising) a graduate degree and intending to start a doctoral study programme in the fields of jurisprudence or political philosophy for which a postgraduate degree is required;
- lawyers (solicitors, judges, public officials) working on national or international levels in relation with the protection of human rights;
- academics (teachers and researchers) who wish to broaden their understanding of constitutional democracy and global rule of law;
- managers of NGOs or private companies who wish to acquire theoretical and practical means for improving their professional performance.

The residential classes and the on-line (distant learning) classes will be delivered by professors of the University of Genoa as well as an international panel of professors from the following universities: Alicante, Brescia, Buenos Aires, Carlos III de Madrid, Commerciale Luigi Bocconi di Milano, Córdoba (Argentina), Girona, ITAM (Mexico), Palermo (Italy), Paris Ouest-Nanterre, Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), Roma III, Trieste, Torino, and Uppsala.
