Abstract
Institute of History, University of Warsaw is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher to work on the project The Presbyters in the Late Antique West run by Dr Robert Wiśniewski. The researcher will collect the evidence for the prosopographical database, conduct his/her own research within the project, closely work with two doctoral researchers and complete, together with the PI, a monograph at the end of the project.

Requirements

Essentials:
- Proven specialisation in late antique studies
- Excellent knowledge of Latin and good knowledge of Greek
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Effective working knowledge of German, French and Italian
- A completed doctorate in relevant field
- Good track of academic achievements (publications, conference papers)
- Ability and willingness to work in a team and write to a deadline

- Good knowledge of German, French and Italian
- Proven specialisation within the field of late antique Christianity
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of working with databases
Stipend, expenses and facilities
This is a ¾ time position for 3 years, extendable for another 2 years. The basic salary will be approximately 3000-3600 PLN per month.

- Two reference letters sent by the referees directly to the Institute of History by post (parallel electronic version can be sent to: sekretariat.ih@uw.edu.pl)
- Copy of two scholarly texts (at least one of them published)
- Statement (this must be in English) showing what paths of research a candidate is going to follow within the project
