Abstract

The aim of this symposium is to compare the modalities, in Europe, of administrative, democratic and financial controls and supervisions on local authorities and local elected officials. The symposium, on 2 days, will gather scientific presentations, a Lexical workshop, a world café method with CEMR (Council of European Municipalities and Regions) members, and a “Typola” workshop for the OLA European team leaders. The presentations will describe and compare the modalities of controls and supervisions on local authorities and local elected officials.

On the 26th and 27th June 2015 the OLA Network (Observatory on Local Administration) and the CEMR (Council of European Municipalities and Regions) in partnership with FAU (Friedrich Alexander University) and Rennes 1 University, organise in Erlangen and Nuremberg a symposium on “A threat to autonomy? Control and supervision of local and regional government activities”.

Registration Fees

Registration is free for speakers, workshop chairs, students, researchers and lecturers. However, if they wish to participate in lunches, they need to register (35€ for the two days of the symposium). Possibility to pay for one lunch on site.

For all other conference attendees, registration fees are 90€. Coffee breaks and lunches are included in the price of registration.

A dinner will be held on 26 June. Those who wish to attend must sign up and pay the cost of dinner before7 June:

    • 15€ for speakers, workshop chairs, and OLA  and CEMR staff members
    • 35€ for all others
