Abstract
Characteristic of the the first sixteen years of the 21st Century has been the the emphasis that structuration processes have placed on the connections between emotions, bodies, and society as some of their central axes. At least since the end of the last century, the production, circulation, management, and reproduction of feeling practices have become some of the basic features of education, health care, knowledge production, the mass media, the entertainment industry, sexuality, politics, and the market - just to mention some of the most publicly “visible” ones. It is in this context that we have considered it desirable to bring together researchers and academics dealing with various aspects relating to the topic of sensibilities.

Argument
Characteristic of the the first 16 years of the 21st Century has been the the emphasis that structuration processes have placed on the connections between emotions, bodies, and society as some of their central axes.
At least since the end of the last century, the production, circulation, management, and reproduction of feeling practices have become some of the basic features of education, health care, knowledge production, the mass media, the entertainment industry, sexuality, politics, and the market - just to mention some of the most publicly “visible” ones.
In Latin America and Europe there has been an increase, at least in the las 30 years, in the number of research projects, study centers and postgraduate programs about problems that, to a greater or lesser degree, have their field of inquiry and cognitive goals in the sensibilities and feeling practices associated to them.
It is in this context that at CIES (Center for Research and Studies in Sociology) and RELACES (Latin American Journal of Studies on Bodies, Emotions and Society) we have considered it desirable to bring together researchers and academics dealing with various aspects relating to the topic of sensibilities.
The aim is to create a space for transdisciplinary dialogue in order to disseminate research in various fields and hence to open new opportunities for collaboration.
As several colleagues have accepted to participate, we wish to submit this second announcement, which we kindly request you to disseminate in your network.
The official language of the meeting will be Spanish. This event is sponsored by the center for studies on migration and interethnic relations URMIS (CNRS, IRD, Paris Diderot).
