Abstract

Interested in Digital Humanities? Eager to learn more about the activities and offerings from DARIAH-DE? Please come to the 2018 DARIAH-DE Grand Tour from September 19th-21st at the Technical University of Darmstadt.The development of a modern research infrastructure in humanities and cultural studies is the central aim of DARIAH-DE. Using digital resources and methods, DARIAH-DE supports researchers in teaching and research as well as in the handling and storage of research data.

Interested in Digital Humanities? Eager to learn more about the acitivties and offerings from DARIAH-DE? Please come to the 2018 DARIAH-DE Grand Tour from September 19th-21st at the Technical University of Darmstadt. With this event we will pay tribute to eight years of intensive and productive work and cooperation. The research infrastructure of DARIAH-DE and its service offerings will be presented and the current state of the art in the Digital Humanities will be reflected together colleagues and experts from the field.

Please note that most of the programme will be held in German language.

  • Research data management and the DARIAH-DE Data Federation Architecture
  • 13. TextGrid-DARIAH-DE user meeting
  • Scientific blogging
  • DARIAH-DE Metahosting: Software as a Service for the Arts and Humanities
  • Construction of historic movement profiles
  • Annotate, analyse, visualise
  • Reproducible research and enhanced publications with Jupyter notebooks
  • Topic Modeling

Panel discussions on "Research Data in Humanities and Cultural Studies: Concepts and Infrastructure” and "Authorship and Scientific Reputation in Digital Humanities" will be part of the diversified programme as well. For keynote speaking, we are pleased to announce Prof. Marc Alexander (University of Glasgow). Beyond this we will have a poster session and other agenda items evolving around Digital Humanities and DARIAH-DE.Please find the detailed programme behind this link. You can register as participant behind this link. Please note that most of the programme will be held in German language in spite of the fact that we of course welcome participants from all countries. We are looking forward for your participation and your posters or demo sessions.
