Abstract
Composer of concrete music, audiovisual director, researcher and historian in “audio-vision” and “acoulogie”, author of some thirty reference books - translated into many languages - in the field of romantic music, film music, sound, voice, screenplay, concrete music and cinema, Michel Chion's work is immense and foundational. Michel Chion invents sounds, concepts, words, images, challenging conventional wisdom, clears conceptual pitfall and opens new fields of expression. It is to this Inventor, creator of a multiple work, that we wish to pay tribute through this symposium.

Argument
Composer of concrete music, audiovisual director, researcher and historian in "audio-vision" and "acoulogie", author of some thirty reference books - translated into many languages - in the field of romantic music, film music, sound, voice, screenplay, concrete music and cinema, Michel Chion's work is immense and foundational.
Michel Chion invents sounds, concepts, words, images, challenging conventional wisdom, clears conceptual pitfall and opens new fields of expression. It is to this Inventor, creator of a multiple work, that we wish to pay tribute through this symposium.
For this transdisciplinary symposium, we hope for the participation of researchers from various backgrounds (acousticians, composers, film historians and aestheticians, musicologists, etc.), but also of friends and fellows to evoke the work and the man.
List (not exhaustive) of the topics to be addressed:
- Michel Chion, composer of concrete music
- Michel Chion, audio-visual director
- Michel Chion, researcher and historian. All areas of the author's favorite are welcome: music in the cinema, sound in the cinema; "Audio-vision" and acoulogie; musicology (program music, symphony); aesthetics of cinema (science fiction, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, monographs, writings in the cinema, etc.); the cinema professions.
- Michel Chion, inventor of concepts, a terminology that refers in the fields of music, sound and cinema.

Proposals of 300 words (including spaces) must be sent to Cécile Carayol (cecile.carayol@univ-rouen.fr) and Jérôme Rossi (jerome.rossi@univ-nantes.fr)
