Purpose of the Journals

HEPNET is an association of academics and researchers from African Universities and Inter-Varsity Centres. It is an initiative of Association of African Universities whose headquarters in Accra, Ghana. HERPNET was founded in 2000 following a research meeting at Human Science Research Council (HSRC), Pretoria in 2000.  Since then, HERPNET has been sharing the vision of the Association of African Universities that universities in Africa in generating and disseminating knowledge and understanding, fostering the values of openness and respect for merit, and enrich the general quality of the social life of their communities through the promotion of research and free enquiry, the open contestation of ideas and through appreciation and tolerance of difference. HERPNET is also affiliated with Association of Institutional Research with headquarters in the USA. HERPNET Journals are peer review journals. The journal are geared at promoting quality research relevant to African contexts in a view to enable teachers, educational administrators and policymakers gain analytical understanding of contemporary educational issues in Africa.ub

HERPNET  journals  are Indexed and abstracted by: Mathematical Reviews,  MathSciNet, IndexCopernicus Zentralblatt fur Mathematik,  EBSCO host,  SCOPUS,  Elsevier's bibliographic database, Ei databases index, EMBASE, EMCare, CAP International, and Indian Sciences Abstract.

Submission guidelines

Structure of articles An abstract of 150 to 200 words in English is required. The articles should include the following sections: 

  • Introduction 
  • Context
  • Methods 
  • Findings 
  • Discussions 
  • Conclusion

Manuscripts submitted to the journal should be typed, 1.5 spacing and should be between 5000 and 7000 words.

Send your papers to aoluoni@yahoo.com (for Journal No 1& 2 above), dermyhblessing@yahoo.com (for Journal No 3 above) and opefolake1@yahoo.com ( for journal No 4)  in MS word attachments. Copies of maps, charts, and graphs and the related data are required. Use APA guidelines for bibliography or references. Authors should include their full names, address, academic status and current institutional affiliation on page 1 only, email addresses and not in the body of the text. Manuscripts not accepted will be communicated to authors. All manuscripts irrespective of the journal to which they are submitted should be copied to the General Editorial Coordinator: ada.otuoze@gmail.com  

Articles submitted to HERPNET Journals should be original contributions and must not be in consideration by another journal at the same time.

Submission Deadline The submission deadline is 31 August, 2020.

Processing fees

Processing fee is thirty thousand naira (#30,000.00) or one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) only for each of the print versions. The online journal is five thousand (#5,000.00) 0r thirty dollars ($30.00) only for assessment fee only

The Editorial Committee decides those that will go online.
