Zusammenfassung

La recherche internationale qui tente de repenser les relations entre « nations » et « empires » suggère qu’il est nécessaire d’aborder de nouveau de manière critique certains paradigmes, cadres et trajectoires qui ont jusque-là donné forme à l’historiographie de la construction nationale, du nationalisme et de l’État-nation moderne. Ce colloque a pour ambition d’explorer plus avant ces relations complexes entre nations et empires en Europe, en Afrique et dans les Amériques, dans une perspective du « temps long », de l’époque moderne à l’époque contemporaine.
