We are excited to announce the Call for Sessions for the 3rd Vienna Anthropology Days aka VANDA 2022 Conference, which aims at bringing together scholars from various fields of anthropology, social sciences and humanities.

September 26 - 30, 2022

General Information

For the Regular Conference please submit a descriptive abstract of your session (90 min per slot) in English that should not exceed 300 words. There is no general conference theme, any research topic is welcome. Session organizers (PhD required) are free to choose their session formats (e.g. classic presentations, panel discussion, round table etc.), albeit the included presentations are bound to a maximum of 15 mins per person. Please add a short description of your chosen format to your session abstract.

Young scholars (BA or MA required) are welcome to submit a session to the Young Scholars' Forum. The requirements are the same as those for the regular conference (see above), the only additional one being the inclusion of at least one experienced researcher (PhD) as discussant. We encourage applicants to approach experienced scholars on their own.

deadline for session submission is March 1st, 2022.

All session abstracts will be evaluated by the VANDA Organizing Committee until mid-March, once submissions are closed. Please do not include pre-selected papers to your session proposal as there will be a general call for papers, open to everyone.

After the Call for Papers from April 1st to June 1st, 2022 the submitted papers will be evaluated by the respective session organizers until mid-June.
